2011 Caribbean Environmental Protection Art Competition
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wants to showcase your talent and your vision of your local environment by displaying your artwork in our new Caribbean Environmental Protection Division office. Create an oil painting, watercolor, mosaic, graphic design, or photograph representing one of the following local, environmental themes: rainforest, karst, reef, trade winds.
The winning entries will be displayed in the new LEED-certified office space and the winning artists will be invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new space.
WHO can enter? The contest is open to high school and college students who are residents of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Students must be U.S. citizens or legal residents to enter. EPA employees, contractors, SEE employees and their immediate family members may enter, but are not eligible to win.
WHAT can you submit? Oil painting, water color, mosaic, graphic design, or photograph, no smaller than 24 x 36 inches and no larger than 48 x 60 inches
WHEN is the deadline? Entries must be received or postmarked by February 29, 2012.
WHERE to send entries? Send completed artwork to the EPA address on the entry form.
The artwork will be judged by a panel of environmental professionals, local artists and art scholars.
